My Cat In the Hat came home for some quality time for the first time since March. It seems the few days I've seen him here and there since February have all been under stress. The stress of moving, the stress of him going off to another school or sea, the stress of setting up a new household, it all takes a toll...and don't even get me starting on the single parenting aspect of it all. It seems it's just been one big mass of stress since the marathon really...
So it's nice to have him home and not be under direct fire for a change. To NOT have the knowledge that his homecoming is only for a day or 3 before the next storm hits. This time he'll be home (in theory) for some QUALITY time. Time for us to truely set up home, explore CA, get the kids back on track, and above all just RELAX and BE.
I'm somewhat unplugged for a couple of days...in theory (you never really know with the military, it changes from minute to minute, literally) we have the weekend together. He still has to work daily of course, but he'll be home for dinner and weekends *crosses fingers*
I can't begin to tell you what a difference it's made to me in just a day and a half already...I feel like I can breathe again. Some of the pressure is off. Not all of course, but some. And rumor has it there might be some nature in my near future. It may or may not include my beloved Gertie...I'm hoping it does, but I'm ok if it doesn't too...as long as we do SOMETHING!
Oh...AND...someone gave me a line on where to find some tidepools....HELLOOOO Photosafari! I have some hope for the coming weeks to do some exploring.

Enjoy your man for a few days then come back and tell us all about your adventures!
I can't wait to see the tidal pool pics. Oooooh I bet you could get some awesome reflection shots with the right clouds or sunset.
