It's Been Awhile

It's Friday, and I've been neglectful of a more than a few things lately. FUTAB for one. (Feet up take a break for those of you not in the know) otherwise known as
It's Friday, Put Your Feet Up!

Now, this is going to come as a suprise to some of you, but I'm just going to come right out and say it. I'm a girl. Sometimes more so than others.
(Lori, could you pass the smelling salts around please? I think someone just fainted...over there in the back, yeah...oh maybe splash some water on their face till they come to..yeah that's it. You guys ok back there? I know it was a shock to some of you..I'm sorry, I know, I should'nt just spring things like that on you.)
I don't usually really care much for shoes, but dang it all, Leesa's always got the CUTEST shoes on Fridays (and socks) and I decided I had to tap into my inner girl, and poke around DSW for a bit, and I saw these and could not resist! I LOVE them. And for those of you that know me, I DO NOT do heels. EVER. It's not my scene man...but check out the stilts on these things. Holy crap! I can almost look my son in the eye when I have them on! Almost. (if I stand on the bottom stair with the heels on)

And for my more fashion conscious PRADA wearing friends out there, I promise, I wore respectable *matching* socks when I wear these out in public.

Now for the other thing I've been neglecting lately. Friday Feast

Appetizer: What was the last game you purchased? Rummikube about 4 years ago. Anyone wanna play with me?
Soup: Name something in which you don’t believe. The mob. I believe in Santa, Aliens, The Toothfairy, and The Easter Bunny, but I do NOT believe in "the mob" They're nothing more than a bunch of overgrown playground bullies and they need to get over themselves and get a life. The sooner people stop believing they have any power and stand up to them, the sooner they will go away. Naive? Maybe, but people give way to much power to people who shouldn't have it.
Salad; If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick? Well, since I don't have the most blogged about man on the internet as my boss anymore, I'll have to go for your more traditional type celebrity. Billy Idol. He can tell me what to do any day of the week! Oh wait....Johnny Depp! Yeah...Well, ok, I'd work for JD 5 days a week and BI the other two.

Main Course: What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way? I learn ALL of my lessons the hard way, thank you short memory, thank you dyslexia, thank you stubborness.
Dessert; Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room. Earth tones, candle light (or other soft lighting) warm but not too warm. Soft blankets, fluffy pillows, inspiring artwork, comfortable seating, soft music, fresh flowers, soundproof walls, fresh scents, and a personal masuesse (sp?)

Oh man, I totally agree with you on Billy Idol. I don't usually go for blondes, but there's something so damn sexy about that snarl of his! I once dated someone that resembled him... mmmmmm... Wow, that just brought back some memories. I might have to save it for a later post!

I am lovin' them shoes of yours, girlie! Very hot...

I'm not a heel gal either, but those are really cute :)

I envy the shoes. Envy them. And you, for being able to wear them. Me and my ugly shoe wearin' feet will be over here, talking about how much we wish we were them.

Then we're gonna mutter a few good things about Johnny Depp, too.

Ok, I have to laugh at Terry's comment. You wanna hear how "one track minded" women are sometimes? I didn't even NOTICE the tree because I was lovin' on them shoes so much! LMAO!

I cannot believe you bought these shoes! They are awesome! Kick butt- going out shoes...watch out for tequila cause I hear it makes things fall off.
They are just perfect for you. I do have some smelling salts for our friend Boots who won't believe you bought those.
I like that DSW place. Remember going to one with me and Boots in CT near the Christmas Tree shop?
I like the pink socks. You are such a girl but try to hide it...hee hee hee

To answer your question in your comment in my blog about Trevor finding out there is no Santa "Who's that guy in the mall that lets me sit on his lap every year and gives me candy?" -

I think he's just some kind of pervert.....but since he's hitting on you, at least he has good taste;)

I just assumed the post was gonna be about your tree! lol

To be honest, I'm not a shoe person either, but boy I saw me a cute pair of boots in the mall the other day!!! I wont spend no 175 bucks though, sorry! lol

Nice shoes! And damn, if you meant by wearing respectable socks that you matched them, STOP THAT! ;)

Send that masseuse my way would you?

How can you be "FUTAB" - your branches are bare!?

Those shoes are cute! :)

I love the shoes!!!! Big Daddy would think that they were made to kick the crap out of someone...which, I think, makes them more fabulous!

M, I've had the hots for him since I was 12 step off, he's all mine! :)
oh..and thanks! hehehe

P3, Family project being saved for the weekend.

Mapper, LOL I have my own personal Bumble for that....

Leesa, Thanks! and I can walk in them without killing myself..AND they're COMFORTABLE!

DKOG..DSW! They're suprisingly comfortable...

M, LOL, I dont' think P3 even noticed the shoes..he's in total boy mode!

KK, Thanks! I'm usually not a heels girl either..they usually hurt too much and I can't walk in them. I'm a firm beleiver in if you can't walk in them don't wear them, but these are so comfortable and very easy to walk in..even at that height..
The tree will get doodled up this weekend.

Lori, I know, I can't believe it either, but I totally love them! I do remember that place, how could I forget? That's how "Boots" got her name! I'll never forget that place as long as I live!

Pre Pon, THanks!

Chris..you sweet talker! ;)

Choppzs, DSW! I bet you find the same pair for less than half the price. Do you have DSW out there?

Nan, yeah, I matched them with the boots...but only cuz I didn't want to distract from the cuteness that is my new shoes!

Seamus, I had to put my feet up, it's a lot of work photographing shoes! LOL The tree will get a makeover this weekend.

Scarlett...I could totally take someone down with these things on! Thanks!
